Agaso Chosen by Oregon Conference of Seventh-day Adventists 1/13/2002
Agaso has been chosen to build an Internet application for the Oregon Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. The site will be a portal of information for Church members, Conference employees, and the general public about the life of the Oregon SDA Conference. In January 2002 Agaso received the green light to begin the design phase of the SDA application.
Agaso is now charged with creating a professional, data-rich web application that will be easy for conference employees to manage. The site will have a long list of features including: portal department pages, news articles, online surveys, interactive polls, department event calendars, online event registration, photo albums, department staff information, a business forms repository, file downloads, and Internet links pages.
All the content on the website and much of the look and feel will be managed through an administrator interface that will distribute publishing responsibilities throughout the organization. Conference employees will be able to distribute their information quickly and easily in a variety of formats, without having to learn all the technologies of web publishing.
Agaso will use their experience building data systems to integrate design templates with the data access classes and functionality. Duc Designed will provide finished HTML design templates from the user interface designs created by Agaso. Finished templates will then be handed off to the Agaso team to integrate software designed and programmed for the application. Members of Agaso are pleased to be working with the creative and tasteful Duc Designed.
As an early adopter of Microsoft .NET technologies, Agaso will be taking advantage of many features of the new Microsoft web technology including object oriented design, the new C# programming language, web forms, data caching and extensive class libraries.
Chris Craig, Assistant Director of Communications, said, Agaso was definitely the choice for us. Craig was impressed at the level of professionalism members of Agaso displayed in the requirements gathering stages of the project. Their team expertly helped us walk through the minefields of creating web applications at a cost that was extremely competitive.
Members of Agaso were involved in the requirements gathering, and bid on the design and construction phases. The decision to use Agaso was based on technical expertise, effective client communication and competitive pricing,
Craig predicted a successful business relationship: The trust and confidence we have in Agaso will make them the perfect partner to continue our web development in the future.
